WELCOME TO THE TLC BIBLE STUDY BLOG!

As part of our renewed emphasis on Bible Study through the ELCA's Book of Faith Initiative, we have begun this blog to allow those participating in our Book of Faith Bible Studies to post on what they have been reading and any thoughts, insights, questions, or delights that occur as they dig more deeply into Scripture. In order to post you need to be invited, which means that you need to contact Pastor Keith who serves as the administrator. He can add you to the "permissions" list. Feel free to comment on eachother's posts - let's make this a useful and lively part of our faith building community!

I've been re-reading Esther. I remember loving it when I was young. But as a grown woman, the patriarchal nature of the story bothered me, more than I expected it to. All those wives! Not appearing before the King, unless called, upon threat of death!

Yikes. I'm happy to be living in the 21st century!

Hi Kristin,

I have to agree with you…I mean my husband is still adjusting to the fact he is the only male in the house…And having all those wives he would have a nervous break down, I’m sure especially if they were all as vocal like I am. LOL!
