Between now and December 1st we are inviting folks to dig into a gospel of your choosing - trying to finish one by that date. While you are reading please jot down any thoughts, questions or insights and share them with your Bible reading covernant partner or post them here. In order to post you must be entered on the permissions list - so send me an email OR if you do not want to post and be identified by name, I can post your thoughts anonymously for you - just email them to me.
Since the gospel for our three year lectionary readings (the readings appointed for Sunday mornings at worship) will soon be changing over to Year "B" which is Mark, I have begun to dig into Mark's Gospel. Right off the bat I had forgotten how strong a role the crowds play - how they grow and press in and surround and need to be with Jesus and his disciples., much more so than in other gospels.
