Ending of Mark

Open question to DPK?

It also seems that Mark is the only gospel where Pilate does not give an unequivocal statement professing his belief that there is no evidence against Jesus. In one of the other gospels (Matthew?), even the wife of Pilate says Jesus is innocent. In Mark, Pilate only prompts the crowd to ask if they are sure, not clearly state that he finds no evidence against Jesus?

Is there significance in this or is it just a little editorial point?
