WARM UP
1. Tell me what you remember about the feeding stories in the Gospels?
(5 minutes)

2. Break into nine groups and in your group compare one of the following sets of stories
(15 minutes)

Matthew 14 and Mark 6
Matthew 15 and Mark 8
Matthew 14 and Luke 9
Matthew 14 and John 6
Mark 6 and Luke 9
Mark 6 and John 6
Luke 9 and John 6
Matthew 14 and 15
Mark 6 and Mark 8

As you compare, consider the following questions:
What is similar between the stories? What is different between them? What impact do you think the events described had on the original participants (crowd and disciples)? On early Christians? What does the passage tell us about Jesus? What does it say to us now?

3. Share some highlights of what you discovered (3 minutes per group or roughly 30 minutes)
